The MBChB School Office
The Medical School Office, which is part of the School Education Unit, facilitates the smooth running of every aspect of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the Medical School through the provision of timely and effective administrative support. It also acts as the first point of contact for enquiries from all involved in the teaching process, particularly as follows:
- It provides a front-of- house service for student enquiries, for the receipt of course-work and for liaison with personal tutors.
- It assists academic staff with course administration including the processing of examinations and other assessment procedures.
- It acts as an interface with the Academic Office, facilitating the transfer of information to and from that Office.
- It deals with general and specific enquiries from a variety of external sources (such as parents, LEAs, Hospital Trusts, funding agencies, professional bodies, prospective and former students), either answering such enquiries itself or directing them as appropriate.
