This chapter is designed to introduce the reader to the geographical layout of the localities discussed throughout the report. In particular, three geographies have been included:
  1. Health Authorities
  2. Primary Care
  3. Local Authorities

The analysis in this Key Health Data is reporting using the boundaries as they existed in 2000 and therefore do not reflect the new Primary Care Organisations (both Trusts and Groups). Included in this report is a map of the new Primary Care boundaries. Future reports will generate results as appropriate to the contemporary boundaries.
